The property started life as a lodge for the Forestry Commission, and has gone through a remarkable transformation over the years. In it's previous form, Ben Bheula was operated as a traditional Bed and Breakfast, with individual rooms available for let. However, with the wide array of BnB accommodation in the area, we saw an opportunity to create a unique experience for a whole home let, allowing larger groups and families to travel and stay together.
We fell in love with Ben Bheula, from the property itself to the stunning views and surroundings. We hope you love it as much as we do, and if there is anything you would like to ask us, or anything that would make your stay more enjoyable, please let us know.

Walking and hiking is available at all levels from walking by lochs and burns through wooded glens, to hiking the Munro’s and Corbett’s, especially the world famous Ben Arthur (The Cobbler), which features the most distinctive outline of any mountain in the Southern Highlands. Access to these hills and walks starts from the door at Ben Bheula with the footpath starting right next to the house.
Mountain biking routes are available, again, from the door, with way marked routes on forest tracks.
There are many picturesque towns and villages in the area such as Inveraray, with its fairytale castle and the nearby renowned Oyster Bar at Loch Fyne.
Towards Dunoon the botanical gardens at Benmore offer many rare species of trees and shrubs, including giant redwoods!
Only a 12 minute walk around the Loch you can relax with the locals in Ben Arthur’s Bothy, the local pub where your dog is also welcome!
A short ferry ride can also be taken from Tarbet across Loch Lomond to conquer Ben Lomond !
